“The Partners @ Peter Stewart Plant Hire bought over ‘Hire-It’ in May 2011 in and changed the trading name to Hire-It Plant & Tool Hire Ltd where the business continued to trade briefly at the existing premises in Laurieston. With expansion in mind, the business moved to Bog Road Industrial Estate where we traded for 7-8 years.
May 2019 saw our business move to our new Hire, Sales and Service Centre in Smith Street, Mungalend to premises more suited to accommodate our growing business. As we have grown we have never lost sight of our visions and values and as always, our aim to continue to build on our existing reputation while expanding to provide an extensive range of Plant & Tool Hire incorporating Equipment Sales & Servicing for our existing customers and look forward to welcoming new faces to our new premises.”
The Idea
With PSPH being an established family run Plant Hire company since 1971 it just seemed the right time and direction to expand in to smaller Plant & Tool Hire

Our Plant Hire Fleet
Providing a full range of excavators from Micro Diggers, 1 tonne to 16 tonne including Back Hoe loaders. These can either be operated or on a Self Drive basis. We also have a range of tracked Dumpsters, 1 tonne high lift dumpers to 6 tonne dumpers. Hire's can range from one day upwards, please contact us for a competitive price
Our Tool Hire Fleet
We stock everything from Stihl saws, Nailers, Powerwashers including domestic equipment such as Wall Paper Strippers to Carpet Cleaners. If you require it - we most likely have it!
